Phatfish at Gravesend Gospel Arts at the Royal Albert Hall Working for B and H Sounds, Dave ran the stage and patch ensuring the many recording and PA mics were correctly routed to the relevant rooms via the correct stage boxes, multicores and splits. New Dawn Events run three day "No More Rain" festival in Shrewsbury Friday acts were Killer Queen, Pink Floyd - In The Flesh, and Ledd Zepp. Sound and lighting was provided by Lee Dreezer of Cheltenham Stage Services who installed two large stacks of Meyer, a monitor rig to please all bands, and enough light to cope with providing variety for each different act on stage. Dave Warner engineered the on stage monitor mixes, Martin Stansfield engineered the front of house mixes, and Mike looked after the stage and patch. Lou Fellingham "Unplugged" with Phatfish Dave engineered the band and thoughoughly enjoyed the chance to create an almost "Hi-Fi" sound in the intimate environment. Nike "Show your Five" A three day rig created an indoor five a side astroturf stadium within Alexandra Palace. The entire pitch was evenly floodlit to television levels, along with Robe moving heads projecting Nike gobos and providing lighting effects to keep the energy levels in the crowd high during change-overs. The sound consisted of a Logic Ethos line array carefully angled to cover the whole of the raised seating area around the pitch. In addition, delays were used to ensure intelligibility of the speech in the reverberant hall. Radio mics were used for the Referee and the hosts on the pitch and DJs played high energy music making the most of the energy in the Ethos Subs. Dave engineered the event on a Midas Heritage. Bible by the Beach The sound was reinforced by Southby's Q10s and E9s providing an even spread of sound across the whole auditorium. The band used in ear monitoring engineered by Mark Heaps. Schmitz Cargobull Spring Harvest Big Top The rig included flown Meyer clusters and a range of Meyer fills for to cover the vast area of seating, with a PM5D at front of house. Technical Production site wide was provided by B and H Sound. Recent Corporate work... Above picture is taken on an event for Moonlite, showing their iLive console. SAW at Thorpe Park The audio visual system is linked into the ride to play clips as the ride reaches certain points on the track. Location Recording The Rash Recorded by Dave Warner, this four piece band perform for local events and partys. They write their own music, and also perform covers in their very own acoustic style. Instruments include mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar, bass and piano. Graham Kendrick 2008, Dreaming of a Holy Night Graham was supported by a stunning band, made up with Steve Thompson as music director and main keys, Andrew Small playing drums, Roy Johnson on bass, Dan Wheeler on electric guitar, Mark Walker on second keys, and Philippa Hanna on backing vocals. The Front of House system included MSL 4s and 650s, with optional UPA front fill and an M7CL to mix the show. This set up gave plenty of versitility for the wide range of theatres the tour visited. Dave mixed seven stereo in ear mixes, two choir and a video feed and then maxed out the desk with reverbs, utilising every mix bus available on the M7CL, as well as filling all the input channels. Each venue provided its own choir, varying in size from 35 to 130 members, with venues ranging from Theatres to Concert Halls, to Cathedrals. Photos of the event can be found at http://www.bakkerworld.nl/ The Stand, Birmingham NEC Arena Two hangs of Meyer MICA were flown either side with 650s providing the bottom end, fed by and M7CL and a Midas Legend. Monitors were a combination of In Ear mixes and Meyer UPAs and UM-1Ps across the stage. Eleven major acts performed on the stage, including Delirious?, Tim Hughes, Y-Friday, Four Kornerz, Bluetree, Vicky Beeching and Jon Foreman of Switchfoot. Changeovers had to be very fast between acts, with soundchecks having taken place in the morning. PA was provided by B and H Sound, with Chris Jones on front of house, Colin on monitors, and James Southby as cheif patch monkey. Photo by Mark Murfitt JCB Heavy Plant Launch Dave engineered Front of House using a Logic Systems Ethos line array flown off crane tracks either side. This enabled an even spread of sound across the theatre seating.
A Soundcraft SM20 on monitors allowed Dave the ability to very quickly set the monitor levels in the short space provided for each changeover. Wedges used were Meyer UM1Ps and UPAs with MSL 4 Side fills. Midsummer Magic feat. McFly, Sugababes, Bjorn Again and Katherine Jenkins.
